Davey was a great friend. He always made you laugh no matter what you were going through. Even though it has been seven and half months I still can't believe he is gone. Davey really meant a lot to Matt and I. I miss waking up to Mrs. Brown's class without his funny comments. He will always be loved and missed by the whole Nitro High School. He was friends to EVERYONE. Lots of Love to the David and Debbie and the rest of the family.

I do not know Davey personally, but being only 20 years old I know what its like to lose a friend much too soon. My friend Samantha Burns has been missing since November 11, 2002 and we are still praying to find her alive and the people responsible for her disappearance. I have talked to a friend of your son's and Davey seemed to be an angel here on earth. Sometimes, awful things happen to the best people. There's no explaining why. Just keep the faith alive in your heart that you will find the monster responsible for this. God Bless Davey's friends and family. I'm sure he's missed by all. You will be in my prayers. <3

It is now going on a year since Davey left us all, and the time has flown by since then. So many memories and thoughts come to mind about Davey and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him and how much hemade me laugh and smile. Now spring has set in and it is beautiful outside and everyone is getting ready for summer to come. I know Davey won't be able to be here to share in the joys of summer and in the Graduation coming up soon for all of us who are Seniors, but in a small way he is still here with us and will always be. I have gotten to set and talk to Mr. and Mrs. Hood many times on the phone and my heart is filled with love and a sense of compassion towards them. These two parents are two of the upmost respectable people and ones whom I will never ever forget as long as I live. I hope to hold on to the relationship I have come to have with them and in some way help bring closure to their hearts. As I walk in the halls of Nitro High School I see memories of Davey everywhere and it hurts sometimes and yes some days are harder than others but there are good ones to. His friends who are left behind are all good people and deserve love as much love as we can all give to them. I was Davey's friend also but never did I have some of the memories these other kids had I only knew him a short time but what time I did know him it was a blessing I will keep forever. The person who did this to Davey will be found and if he doesn't serve his time here on earth, when he goes before God he will serve his time in eternity God's way. Although there are some at Nitro High who want to forget about Davey and never have him mentioned again it just isn't possible, Davey is a legacy that will live on there forever in students hearts for years to come. And the small memory plaque hanging up will serve as a living reminder that he wa someone and not just a " nobody " like some teachers thought of him as. He was someone and always will be.

I am so sorry that you lost your son, I can't say I know how you feel, thank God I still have both of my boys, 15 and 16 , but on Marcg 10 2002 I got a phone call I will never forget till the day I die ! I was woken up to be told that my 23 yera old sister was found dead! she was last seen alive on the 9th by bob her hubby, she was found dead by bob, he found her dead at 4:19 am, bu didn't call 911 till 5:30 am, we think he killed her, but to this day that man is still walking the streets, so we have no justice either, so I know how you feel there!
I pray that God will reveal the person who ran over davey and they will get punished for what they did to this beautiful child! he didn't deserve to have his life cut so short!

A day doesnt go by that I dont think about Davey. He always found some way to make me smile, whether it was just goofing off in class or talking to me after Id had a bad day. I am truly blessed to have had him in my life. Davey is greatly missed and will never be forgotten! ~RIP~

The first time that I met Davey was the summer before 8th grade because he was talking to my best friend,little did I know that we would become such good friends. I have so many GREAT memories of Davey that will stay with me forever! I really beleive that he was an angel sent here to brightin everyones life with his love and humor. Everyday I think about Davey its like theres always something to remind me of him! He will be greatly missed! And will live on in ALL of OUR hearts forever!! I love and miss you bunches~! R.I.P

I really never knew Davey.I would see him walking around school and talking to people. When I heard about the accident I was in utter shock.A young man, who I have seen a few days ago, walking down the hallways at school, was gone. I couldn't believe it, no one could. Nitro High School will never be the same. May the Lord be with the family and lets all pray that the guilty person who did this is found!Rest in Peace Davey!

I met Davey online over the summer...i never knew how close we would be. He was a great friend and always knew how to make me smile..no matter what!!! When he died it was really hard for me.. But it made it even harder livin with Amanda and having to see what she went through all the time..I know they both loved each other very much. But i cant wait till i get to see him again some day!!!!!!!
